2021 Fox Hunt Clean up Days

Earn your Volunteer Fee Back!

Summer is coming and we need your help to get the club ready. The Fox Hunt Spring Cleanup events offer a chance to earn back your $80 maintenance fee that you paid at registration.

Our cleanup dates are Saturday, April 24 and Sunday, April 25, and Saturday, May 1 and Sunday, May 2. If you volunteer for a three-hour shift at any of these times, your fee will be refunded. If you volunteer, please remember whether you registered via credit card or check for 2021, in order to receive a timely reimbursement for the $80 maintenance fee.

There will be a limit of 20 people on each three-hour shift. Everyone should bring work gloves, and please bring a protective mask in case you are assigned to do work inside (such as cleaning the bathrooms, guard office, and pump room in the main building). Members without masks will not be allowed to conduct interior work, and we do need quite a few people for those tasks.

Painting, fence repair, grounds maintenance, and some other items will make up the bulk of our exterior work as we prepare for Opening Day. Cleanup days may change due to weather conditions; Fox Hunt members will be notified if the dates are rescheduled. TRUCK DRIVERS WANTED
If you own a pickup truck, we have four slots available for volunteers to deliver mulch to the pool. Free mulch is available at these locations (https://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/publicworks/recycling-trash/free-mulch) in Fairfax County. If you fill your truck once and deliver the load to the pool, you can earn back your $80 maintenance fee.

We will need it dumped on both sides of the entrance of the path that leads to the woods/basketball court. You may deliver mulch loads at your convenience any time before the first cleanup day on April 24. When you are ready to deliver, please email Joe Coombs at grounds@foxhuntswimclub.org to receive the lock combination at Fox Hunt's front gate in order to gain access.
